betbuzz Cricket Betting — Bet on Every Match from BPL to the T20 World Cup
betbuzz covers cricket betting across all three formats — Test, ODI and T20. From match winner to toss, put your analysis to work in every market.
Cricket's three formats and major tournaments
When it comes to cricket betting, the format is the first thing to consider. T20, ODI and Test — these three formats differ not just in length but in the nature of their betting markets as well.
T20: The fastest format. In just 20 overs, the situation can change in an instant. BPL and IPL are played in this format, and it is the most popular among Bangladeshi fans. The close contests at the T20 World Cup add an extra dimension to live betting.
ODI: This fifty-over format blends strategy with endurance. ODI matches are played regularly at the ICC World Cup and in international bilateral series. Run-related bets are most popular in this format.
Test: This five-day format is the full test of cricket. The result can remain uncertain right up to the final hour of the fifth day. A draw is a valid outcome in Test cricket, so it is possible to bet across three markets — Team A win, Team B win, or draw.
BPL
Bangladesh Premier League — the excitement of franchise cricket in the domestic T20 league.
IPL
World-class T20 cricket at the Indian Premier League — watch and bet.
International Matches
The Tigers in action at the ICC T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and bilateral series.
Football and other sports betting
Alongside cricket, betbuzz also offers betting on football and several other sports. In football, a draw is the most common third result, whereas in limited-overs cricket only one of two teams wins — there is no draw. This difference is directly reflected in the odds structure of each market.
In football, the 1×2 market (home win / draw / away win) is the most familiar. Handicap betting and over-under markets on number of goals are also common. Cricket has almost no handicap markets; instead, run lines, over-by-over scores and special performance markets are more prevalent.
In cricket betting, weather, pitch conditions and the toss play a significant role — none of which apply in the same way to football. So before betting on either sport, it is worth properly understanding the rules specific to each.
Football has three possible outcomes; limited-overs cricket has just two. Test cricket allows a draw. Understand each format and plan your bets accordingly.
Popular betting markets and examples
Match Winner
A straight bet on which team will win the match. Example: Team A vs Team B — if you think Team B will win, bet on Team B. If Team B wins at the end, your bet is successful.
Toss Betting
Which team will win the toss before the match starts — this market offers nearly equal odds for both teams. On pitches where the toss matters, it is a popular opening bet.
Top Batsman
Which batsman will score the most runs for their team. Example: pick who will be the top scorer from Team A's batting lineup. Get it right and the bet pays out.
Total Runs Over / Under
Whether total runs will be above or below a given number. Example: if you think total match runs will exceed 310, choose over; if you think fewer, choose under.
Top Wicket Taker
Which bowler will take the most wickets in the bowling department. In Test matches especially, this market keeps interest going over the long haul.
Multi Bet
Combine bets from multiple matches into one. If all selections are correct, the payout is much higher, but if even one is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
Understanding the three odds formats
Odds on betting sites appear in three formats — decimal, fractional and American (minus-plus). Most platforms in Bangladesh use the decimal format.
| Format | Team A Win | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.25 | Stake × Odds = Total Return |
| Fractional | 5/4 | ৳5 profit for every ৳4 staked |
| American | +125 | ৳125 profit on a ৳100 bet |
Example 1 (positive odds): Odds on Team A winning are 2.25 decimal, 5/4 fractional, +125 American. A ৳1,000 bet returns ৳2,250 on a win (৳1,250 profit + ৳1,000 stake); a loss costs ৳1,000.
Example 2 (favourite odds): Team B's odds are 1.25 decimal, 1/4 fractional, -400 American. American minus odds mean you need to bet ৳400 to win ৳100. A ৳1,000 bet returns ৳1,250 on a win (৳250 profit).
Live in-play betting — odds shift with every wicket
In-play betting at betbuzz continues after the match has started. The defining feature of live betting is that odds move in real time with the flow of the game — when a wicket falls, the batting team's odds lengthen; a big six and they shorten.
As the required run rate climbs with fewer overs remaining, match winner market odds can change in an instant. This happens fastest in the last five overs of a T20. In Test cricket, pitch behaviour and weather can influence odds at different points throughout the day.

A few practical tips for betting
Cricket betting is a form of entertainment. No one can guarantee a win — the tips below can help keep your experience more structured.
- Set a budget: Decide in advance how much you will bet on each match. Do not bet beyond your budget.
- Understand the format: T20 and Test betting markets are different. Betting on the format you watch more is comparatively easier.
- Start with one market: If you are new, the match winner market is straightforward — just choose from two or three options.
- Be careful with multi bets: Combining bets raises potential winnings, but one wrong selection and you lose the whole thing. Avoid multi bets if you are not yet experienced.
- Do not rush in live betting: Just because odds change fast does not mean you should decide in a hurry. Take a few seconds to think before confirming a bet.
- Bet responsibly: Betting is for entertainment. Placing bigger bets to chase losses is a common mistake — avoid it. Read the responsible gaming guide for more.
Multi Bet Calculation
Three bets with decimal odds of 1.40, 1.50 and 1.90.
Combined odds: 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.90 = 3.99 (approximate).
A ৳100 bet returns ৳399 if all three are correct. If even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Team A and Team B are placeholder names — they are not a promise of any real-world outcome.
